The Hot Baths Ten Thousand Waves feels like a Japanese onsen. An onsen is a Japanese hot spring. A volcanically active country, Japan has thousands of onsen scattered along its length and breadth. Japanese often talk of the virtues of "naked communion" for breaking down barriers and getting to know people in the relaxed homey atmosphere of an onsen inn. Ten Thousand Waves, has modeled their bathing experience after the great hot spring onsen of Japan. There are indoor (ofuro) and outdoor (rotenburo) baths. All have access to cold plunges. There are public facilities for women only and for mixed bathing. More luxurious are the private baths. All baths are maintained at 104-106 degrees F, with the exception of Waterfall, which is body temperature. Several baths are a little hotter than 104-106. Baths are open from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm each day of our stay. Ten Thousand Waves is dedicated to providing a Japanese sense of serenity and relaxation for you and your beloved. As guests of Divine Bliss you will receive complimentary admission to the Communal Baths for the duration of your stay. Accommodation In the tradition of the Japanese ryokan, a few lucky guests are able to stay overnight at the Houses of the Moon, just a short walk to the spa. The tranquility of twenty acres of pinons and junipers on a hillside is a far cry from the bustle of downtown, yet only ten minutes away. You may spend your entire stay wearing your yukata around the grounds, there's really no reason to get dressed. For an easily accessible romantic vacation at an exotic destination, there's no better choice. We have reserved the five most beautiful Houses of the Moon for our group. When registering for Divine Bliss, you'll indicate your first three choices in order of preference in the: "Is there anything specfic you'd like us to know about you?" box.
